It was an exciting race. Too bad the announcer never woke up.
And I hate to say it, but a good (non-fatal, non-injurious crash) would have helped.

I've got you beat. I decided to try changing my own tires. Never again.

You know what? I don't care if the networks never pick up on MotoGP. I don't care that it isn't widely popular. After seeing what 'popularity' has done to ruin other sports and endeavors I'll take a pass. After watching the major pro-sports go down the slide I'm happy to see MotoGP remain off the average American's TV screen.

I've been wanting to go to the IOM TT since I was 15 years old. Some year soon I gotta make it over there.
Kids out of college soon. Heh heh.

I've been riding for 16 yrs, and finally became a Moto GP fan last year. Great fun. And I'm sure Isle of Man must be an amazing experience to attend. At same time, there have been an average of 2 racing deaths each year since TT started, much of that due to lack of any room to slide off the course without hitting walls, trees, people, etc.
This year, a racer died when he crashed into a spectator area, and 2 fans were also killed. Watching Moto GP at Le Mans a few weeks ago (on TV), it was raining, and plenty of crashes (included back to back crashes at the lead). But no one seriously hurt. In just past several races (this yr and last), Rossi and Hayden have both crashed, but essentially unhurt and fine to race again (Rossi even getting back into same race). And free to push racing to the limit, not without risk of consequences, but with far less concern about being maimed or killed, or killing someone else. Imagine if they were racing at Isle of Man instead? Yeah yeah, I'm sure this'll get a bunch of that's the way it is/can't stand the heat kinds of responses, or snide wisecracks, but truly, is it worth it to have these races on public roads?
