Not really. MD mentioned there was one in the works and MCN claimed to have spy shots and even here it was discussed that everyone expected it to happen. But no one had any info until the PR photos were released.

I wish I still had my '78 XLCH. It had the AMF quality issues but started first kick and was fun to ride. If I bought a new Sporty, I'd try to replicate the '78 ergo's.
