I would hope my friends know me well enough to get me a motorcycle I would actually ride. I'm not saying Michael does, or doesn't ride that. I'm saying I wouldn't.

Looking at those old chopped up panheads and shovelheads makes me cringe. God only knows how many knuckles, pans and shovels were ruined during the 70's chopper craze. Gooseneck one and watch the value plummet. Idiots. Left stock a knuckle or a pan is worth far more than any chop job. Even shovels are getting that way.

I like this bike, love my Shovelhead, and really like the "Bobber" fad over those stupid fatassed "customs" that all look the same. At least they're somewhat functional.
But I'm confused: as far as I know, Harley was not making hardtail frames in 1981. I thought their last hardtail was decades before then when the "Duo-Glide" was introduced. Am I wrong?

I wouldn't ride it because it doesn't have Ohlin's shocks.

The last factory Harley hardtail was 1957. Maybe they took an 81 frame and welded on a hardtail.

I have a shot at a killer deal on a mostly stock 46 Knuck. If this thing is for real, I'm buying it on the spot.

It doesn't have any shocks!
Maybe you could paint the hardtail gold and put some Swedish lingo on it to make yourself feel better. |
