At least they didn't rip off the rear shocks and put steel bars in place like the Sportster guys used to do. What a mess that was.

That's one fine lookin' motorsikkle there, I'd have used a Sporty tank and drag pipes but that's just nit-picking. It's gotta' be a weld on hardtail or else they're tagging it off the motor numbers. It's not an "81 hard tail"
Maybe they're 81 supporters and just wanted to get a plug in.
