These are Beemers? I've got to give BMW credit, they seem to be trying to "grow" their range. I wouldn't mind riding several of their newer models. The company seems to be more appealing to me all the time, I am getting older though...

Good informative story Pete, thanks.

Wow! What a refreshing change from traditional sportbikes and cruisers. Light weight, great brakes, great riding position, supermoto sensibility. I like almost everything about this bike.

You're fortunate. I'm just about to start my 6 years of college and I'll be making payments on my bike ZX. Good times. Ah well, it'll be fun as long as I don't get any tickets.

Nice article. And I can personally atest to the jumpiness of said Cactus.

But I'm curious: Was this ride done back in July/August of last year? Because that's monsoon time around here, not April.

I should add, the P1 kart circuit is an excellent track when you can do the course.

Grew up putting all motothings upindown Mt. Lemon, just one of several Sky Islands around Tucson, and indeed, looks like last year rainy season.

Too bad no one pointed you down the back of the mountain to Oracle, an easy 4wheeler trac, but a nice challenge for offroad bikes.....ask me sometime how an 85 Aspencade goes down said trac and makes drunk, jeep pilots stop and stare, as they head up.

..wrong turn off the top of mountain, no way to turn around, easily the greatest day of operating a motorized thing without damage,(and more luck than can be named) in my life.

Wow, sorry ...thats what "jumping cholla" dredges up.

Bikes look lovely, still too much moola for this fool.

Nice artical Pete, kinda less...hairy..swarthy, somehow.
