The reason everyone at bike week is over 50 is because your average working young guy with a wife and kids can't take a week off work to go ride down to Daytona, let alone afford it.

Look, the manufactures didn't catch on to drag racing until like 4 years ago. That's all that's done in the midwest. They're clueless. Combine that with everyone's headquarters in So. Cal. along with all the magazines ("We took the Kamzukiaha R600XCB to the Streets of Willow to get a test, and it was great!") and you realize they just have blinders on.

STOP YOUR DIRTY LIES!

Figure Skating is a sport! And no amount of bashing will move me to say otherwise!

If sequins, spandex and you get roses when you are done. If that isn't a sport, than WHAT is this world coming too?!

Um. I'm 50, and I wheelie.

Step 1. Admit I have a problem.

My mother used to say that perhaps next the Olympics will add ballroom dancing as a sport. It makes as much sense as figure skating. When first I heard that they added the snowboarding venue I thought "cool, we'll see if the boarders are faster than the skiers." Then I turned it on and saw those stupid judges and half an hour of identical tricks before I gave up. This sort of pablum is loved by the sort of people who banned dodge ball and the monkey bars in grade schools.... any real form of competition being replaced with touchy feelie we-are-the-world blandness. Decadent and pointless.

Enjoy any real forms of competition we still have 'cause eventually it's all going to be determined anti-social and soma will be forced on anyone who opposes the brave new world.

Coffee time.
