........Sorry, just couldn't resist!

bkbennett 03-15-2007 02:49 PM

The inflatable vest is a hoot.

Seems like they might as well be selling screen doors for submarines.

How many cruiser guys are going to wear one of those?

I can just see it. Guy walks into a bar and says, "Hey, what does this button do?"

I can't wait to see the inflatable pants.

I don't think she needed the custom work.

Any chance of contacting the young lady in pic #9 for a demo ride?

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Wow. Only 10 lbs. of boost (and probably 5 grand) to get 12hp less than my SV put out stock. What will they think of next?

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Is there a way I can keep my "threshold" set to -1? I like reading your posts;-)

Dr_Sprocket 03-15-2007 04:16 PM

Nice eyes!

I hope those Confederates go like Hot Stink, 'cause Dey Ugly! They look like collections of spare parts.

Nice Job, LR!

I'm partial to #67 personally. I like the natural hardbody look.

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

V-twin expo is missing a lot of good brands.... where's Ducati, or Aprilia?

Buzglyd 03-15-2007 08:22 PM

Re: The inflatable vest is a hoot.

I think if you add some inflatable conchos and inflatable fringe you got a winner there.

Fenton 03-15-2007 08:50 PM

Re: Nice eyes!

That's a dude. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Rock on Buzz.

pplassm 03-15-2007 08:52 PM

What's new in the world of V-Twins?

Nothing. Not if those photos are representative.

How about this instead?:

Oh, and it looks like someone's going to build it!

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

LOL! Really. I didn't know.

sarnali2 03-15-2007 09:32 PM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Russ at Downtown Harley in Tukwila built one of those for the Seattle show a couple of years back, they were selling it for $25k I think. Looked pretty good with the Road Glide frame mount on it. That's the future right there I think.

I'll take one of those duel plug Panhead repro. engines and slap it in a rigid frame, 2 over springer and a 16 in. star hub wheel, hand banger and rattle can it black....show them boys what a nasty Tacoma bobber looks like LOL

Lots to see and do there George...looks like a blast

Spudly Guy 03-15-2007 10:49 PM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

You mentioned metric crusiers represented at the show- ...with nothing interesting in the pics or this article to tempt readers further? It all seems like more of the same to me or maybe you ran out of copy space? I hope one of these days aftermarket perrformance will catch up on metric cruiser performance beyond a squirt of nitrous, but for now all we can do is get teased with performance updates on Harley Davidson, yet again.... (insert yawn here) Both Star and VN 2000 would have been nice to see covered but alas ....it is not to be. Where are the performance parts for metric cruisers???

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

I think my wife would demand I get a inflate-a-jacket...

Holy_Kaw 03-16-2007 06:14 AM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Thanks Longride and Don. There's a bunch of V-twins not represented but it looks like there was good stuff to see.

HelterSkelter 03-16-2007 06:49 AM

There fixed that for ya...

The answer to your problem is easy. Just go and buy an American Vtwin, then articles and threads like this would be much more interesting too you.

Next time you see a Harley just squint and imagine a (ahem) Star or Kawasaki badge on the stank, that's how the Japanese design them any way.

Re: Nice eyes!

Yeah, it's good that you're in touch with that side of your personality....really, it's OK

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Is Victory getting much aftermarket support? That's going to be key in their long term success.

longride 03-16-2007 07:36 AM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

True enough. Didn't see much Victory stuff there. I think Victory needs to stick with one motor design before they will get much love. S&S has some Victory stuff, but they are one of the few.

longride 03-16-2007 07:37 AM

Re: The inflatable vest is a hoot.

I got the patent on the inflatable arm chaps. Are ya in with me?

longride 03-16-2007 07:39 AM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

I really should have gotten some more pictures of the metric stuff. I think the interest is growing in that area.

longride 03-16-2007 07:43 AM

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

For those that don't know, this was a show for aftermarket and specialty MC manufacturers. No large manufacturer of motorcycles was represented here including Harley-Davidson. It was a nice way to spend the day when the temp outside was 10.

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

You know it's a wonk show when there's a booth for a gasket company.

Perhaps he has more in-common with KPaul than it seems at first blush?

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Well Harleys go through a lot of 'em...

Check out ol' longride....10 degrees and he's driving, what a lightweight. I don't even put the lining in my coat till it gets below 10 degrees....

Re: 2007 V-Twin Expo

Great, now I can get 100 rwhp on my Fat Boy merely by fitting an intercooled supercharger. That is surely going to leapfrog the competition.

I have moved to Euroland now, lets see when/if the container arrives.
