With that shade of Orange, they need to get the Fanta girls working it in the ads.

It must be rough to have to ride those bikes around. Thanks for doing something that few others would want to do and then rubbin... I mean telling us about it, Gabe. Good stuff.

KTM is looking good, more power to them.

Default Vibration with the 690?

One thing I didn't see covered--how is the vibration on the 690? You say it's smooth--smooth for a single, or really smooth? That's been the big turn-off for me regarding big singles.

Great article. The 690 supermoto is high on my list. 47 kw is just over 60 hp isnt it? Thats dyamite at 335 lb, at least coming from a KLR 650.

Just got back from first trip beyond the hollow where I grew up--to London and Paris--and I saw a lot of such bikes over there. Really zipping along in Paris too, almost at the speeds that got Princess Di killed. Seemed to be zero accidents while I was there, though. By the way, they bother to mark the lanes of their major boulevards.

I ride a Duke II (625cc LC4). It vibrates but not offensively. The seat will whip you before vibration does. I believe the 690 has a counter balancer.

Default Specs are courtesy of Yamaha?

Why does the article list 2 of the 3 bike as "Specifications courtesy of Yamaha"?
