You are forgetting the Hypermotard. I haven't seen the 1098 in person yet, but I think Terblanche updating a Tamburini design just doesn't cut it for me. The tail section is a hack of Tam's F4

The 999 sold well in the U.S., but flopped everywhere else. Now that the 1098 is out, the 999 looks more visually appealing in its own unique way now. I wouldn't mind having either in my garage at this point.

Motorcycles with less popular styling like the Multistrada and any number of other bikes you could mention (V-Strom anyone?) always look much better from the saddle.

It warms my scooter-loving heart to know it takes a chain-driven 1100 to grind those urban rockets into the dirt.

Nice report though, a good read, and why doesn't ducati go to belt drive?

WhooHooo. Just last weekend, I was drooling over a newish 'Strada S with bags over at the entrance to Sears (don't ask) at the mall.

Thanks for a timely article. Can't get that Strada out of my head.

I think it looks best in black. The front end does not seem to have as much mass.

Beers are like motorcycles. The correct number to have is always 'one more'.
