I have more than 22 years of experience. I was building bikes when you were in diapers. Like I said, you don't work at a Harley dealership, so there is NO WAY you 'saw' that many blown up Blasts. Sorry, but calling bullshyt on your little fantasy.

I don't want anyone reading that post to mistake what he says for real information. That guy hasn't been anywhere near a Buell Blast, and it doesn't take a genuis to figure that out. Next news flash from him is that Harleys vibrate and leak oil. He's seen hundreds of THEM too.

I saw one I remember, maybe a couple more here and there...

It's like "friends who got killed" I've been riding 40 years this year, I've been around bikes all my life and I personally know one person that died on a bike and one that did a no helmet face plant and rattled his marbles.

Couple of people, me included, kissed the highway and walked away and that's it yet what do you hear on the 'net but "my 15 friends that died on bikes last year"....

Sounds like yer' friends should take up a safer hobby 'cause they sure don't know sh*t about riding...

The "Yo, Sung!" website is a riot to read. The translations remind me of the Datsun 240Z manual I used to have. My favorite: "The motorcycle that insights reader confidence weather....this motorcycle enters a new demension (sic)." There's a bunch more, but that was a high point.

A friend of mine told me about this guy he knew - that dude would go and steal every "Jap bike" he saw, that was left unattended (I presumed this was Euro bikes as well). He'd then take it down to the docks and hotwire it, jam the throttle full-on, then "ride" it off the end of the pier into the water. He bragged to my friend that he'd stolen Hundreds of bikes, maybe over a thousand - all now rusting at the bottom of the Ocean.

This was in the late-'80s. My friend insinuated that this fellow felt no compulsion to quit this behaviour, either.

So, if you're in that area, and ever had your "Jap bike" stolen - from say '70 through '90 - there's a good chance you could find it "in the pile" if you're willing to go diving.
