![]() Nice rant on the MO comparison of the KLR to the other bikes.
Too bad the KLR wasn't compared to the other bikes in the article. |

![]() I did buy the ZRX new as a second bike to an Aprilia Futura. Great bike. A bit of a handful for tight, twisty roads here in Nor. Cal. Nothing like 80 ft./lb of torque though. You could feel the springs and shock needed some "class" added to them too.

![]() Can any of these bikes arrive back home from a sportbike group ride the same day as their athletic cousins?
I think not. But if you have friends who ride they can help you find a ten year old liter (or larger) "previously ridden" bike, as well as helping to rid it of any hidden flaws. You will be fast and will have spent much less than five grand. |

![]() And I thought the K1200R would win the budget shoot-out. Sheesh, the KLR wins again.

![]() The Blast and the Savage reliable? You have got to be kidding, I have seen at least 4 Blasts with terminal engine problems and many more with all kinds of reliability problems of the kind that will leave you walking.
As far as the Savage, and I am a Suzuki fan, that has got to be the very worst motorcycle ever made by that manufacturer, I have seen so many of them with bad crankshafts that I lost count! Of course they are all reliable when you get them brand new for testing purposes. |

Yes. "I think not. But if you have friends who ride they can help you find a ten year old liter (or larger) "previously ridden" bike, as well as helping to rid it of any hidden flaws. If you're riding with a group going that fast on public roads, a better investment would be supplemental disability and life insurance. Or track school - then you'll be faster and safer. Even on a middleweight.
