Every MO thread is the same... Kpaul posts and his legion of stalkers starts spewing.

In the first part of the story, we defined the Godzilla bikes as the biggest, baddest machines made. We couldn't get a Rocket, and that's not our fault. As we state in the story, the V-Rods are not the biggest machines H-D makes, by either weight, displacement or price, and we did in fact cover V-Rods in two stories last year: the All-Harley test in Chicago and the Power Cruiser comparo we did in Southern California.

So what do you consider a real "Godzilla Cruiser", and why are you the authority on that topic when Motorcycle.com invented the entire concept last month?

Actually, I live in Denver, so the twisties are only about 20 minutes away. But for droning down the straight bits, I'd still prefer a standard because of the comfort issue. I've often wondered if I would even own a motorcycle if I wasn't as geographically blessed as I am. Blasphemous, I know, but for me the really fun part of motorcycling is cornering. Aside from commuting by motorcycle, which is still better than driving, I usually spend my time going straight anxiously awaiting my arrival at the next corner. That's just me though. I know people have many different reasons for riding, and that's a great thing, especially if the purchase of a gazillion cruisers helps fund the development and production of bikes more interesting to me.

I don't routinely scrape pegs on the street, (occasionally, maybe rarely even ) because I don't ride a cruiser. But if I did the latter, I would the former.

You said:

"The Harley wins the paint/chrome/fit/finish battle by a landslide."

That's fine for a bike that spends most of its time sitting in the parking lot of a bar, which is where most Harleys DO spend their time.

But for people who like to RIDE, performance is just important as looks.

Uh....guys.....Why did you not let the Suzuki finish its dyno run? It redlines much higher than that, hell it was still pulling straight up and you just stopped the run?!?!!?!?

Looks like it would have crested 110 (which many bone stockers are doing) had you let it.

Otherwise pretty good test and you are FORGIVEN for the boneheaded previous MORON move of leaving out THE powercruiser from the Powercruiser test a bit back.......though leaving out the Rocket was not too smart......

Oh as for the styling thing that is totally up to the beholder and I honestly think it should probably be left up to them for that choice....just MHO.
