My sv has gone 22k miles with no valve adjustments. They were checked (as was noted in the previous post) at 18k but everything was fine.

And if you have one how does it perform?"

. . .a platypus, and it performs swimmingly?

HAH! No kidding... the bike is just a freakin' outrage. An insult to the god's of physics. I giggle like a fool when I get back from riding it. Its an Atomic Unicycle. Motorclycling's equivalent to the thong. World's fastest Schwinn Stingray.

I sometimes imagine the "pitch" meeting where Erik first describes his new design to the suits: "OK, here"s the idea; stuff a hopped-up fuelie 50-year-old Sportster mill into a cut-down, 52-in wheelbase Italian sportbike frame with a really steep steering rake. Shoe her with big sticky superbike tires, then put the pipe at the bottom to lower the CG, and raise all the draggy bits so nothing ever touches no matter how far she's leaned over. Then fill up the frame with gas and throw away one brake disc so you can make the front spokes paper-thin."

[crickets]

But I'm sure glad he got to build it. [grin]

Phil Hendrie ruled.

And it's true - kpaul and I are the same person. A transporter malfunction split us into two beings with diametrically-opposed personalities. I became the logical, humorous one with the excellent personal hygiene.
