I worked in porn for 5 years and it took a motorcycle forum for me to witness a man getting tea-bagged by his own ego. It's like KNut is his own personal Jack Shack. I have never seen anyone so fixated on stroking his ego.

I really wish he would just leave. The forum and the site is a lot more fun and informative without him.

Default You win

Did you read what longride wrote? You guys kbash but when I bash back you can't handle it.. Look I lost my temper with longride but he calls me a liar but he doesn't say what I have lied about, he insults my wife, etc.. There is a double standard..but hey you guys win.. I'm gone...

You guys can all agree with yourself in a groupthink orgy I don't care.. Watch the posts for each article will dwindle down to 20 posts with you guys kissing each others butt.. But hey if that is want so be it....I am sure some, courageous soul, will fill the void eventually and dare to disagree but it's going to be boring on MO for awhile.

Point being, the writer was abusing the term "event horizon." Period. The same way people wildly abuse the term, "learning curve." Sure, it sounds innellktual an smert, but it has nothing to do with the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principal as it pertains to a Schwartzchild discontinuity.

But, hell. Let's "dialog" further. You heard the term, you thought it was "cool," and despite the fact that you didn't have a clue what it meant, you applauded it being shoehorned into a silly article about Kawasakis.

It's like an objection to a bizarro description of France, and y'all want to claim that "France" doesn't exist and don't be a pedantic poseur for making the objection. Lowest farkin' common denominator rules.

I had a problem with what I saw as an unwarranted, "nitpicking" attack on a cool Guy. At least you had the b@lls to state your problem with the phrase publicly and didn't resort to anonymous "down moderating" which I see as cowardly. I think I can follow your position and if "Lowest farkin' common denominator rules." was stated in a disparaging way I humbly suggest some introspection. We mostly, usually, can disagree about things here in an open and civil manner. Surely you can see the advantages of that.

Default Always stay on the gas!

So I'm sitting here at home. Unemployed, scrolling through the most miserable list of job postings imaginable. Gratuitous thank-you e-mail after an interview at a total meat grinder of an office. Jobseeking network failing left and right. Longtime girlfriend musing about how I'm not right for her. Ugly NYC weather. Anguish, frustration, dread....

...and I find this.

Event horizons, Kafka at the office, Mexican food, porn, narcissistic personality disorder, kleptomainia, and - oh, yes - one kick-ass 600 that just might be on my birthday list. (Black, please.)

THIS is why I spend ill-afforded lucre on a subscription.

Thank you, everyone.
