Wishful thinking? But that would be wrong. Forget I said anything.

Playing down to the competition? The 49ers, and for that matter, the Raiders, when they were good, would have trouble with the Cardinals, who are always bad, then beat a top team the next week. I have no idea what that means, but it sounds right.

Default i squinted real hard ...

i squinted real hard but there is nothing about this bike that brings to MY mind a classic british single, like a gold star or a victor.

i owned a yamaha sr500 single during my college years. fun bike. but i soon found that the IDEA of thumper ownership is a lot more romantique than the actual practice.

looks to me like the derbi is the brilliant answer to a question no one has asked.

Yeah, without an HP bump its market in the US will fall flat (cool a little thumper as it sounds). The Japanese manufacturers tried to US market with small singles in the 1980s and they fell flat -- the wonderfully fun Yamaha SRX 600 comes to mind.

I'd love to see the street thumper market grow here in the States, but until they get the price point down and market it to both urban and trailies it probably doesn't have a chance.
