Default Re: Harley discontinued the best Dyna

All the things you guys liked about the Bob, as well as all the things you wished it had existed on a now discontinued H-D model - the FXDX. Cartridge front forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping, nitrogen charged 4+ in. travel rebound adjustable rear shocks, twin disc front brakes and flat handlebars.

And Harley could barley sell them. Then comes the Steet Rod with the right motor and away goes the adjustable suspension. Can't seem to sell these either. Not sure that reducing the rake of the Street Rod and adding suspension adjustability would help to sell many more.

So then, I'm a Harley guy, love the bikes, but I think the best Harley can do in this category is to continue to make the base FXD Dyna. Then those of us Harley riders who really do love to ride can modify the bikes with aftermarket suspension, Brembos and engine stage kits without paying a small fortune in the bling factor we don't want.

Another internet hero with a big mouth. How unique. And what value you have added to the discussion! Very hard to top that. I haven't heard that joke since 1966 when I was in first grade. Tough guys like you have to thank God for the internet every day. It's where a nobody like you can try to be a somebody. Too bad in your case it isn't working. You need to try harder.

I agree...its what Im waiting for. When I bought my 97 Geezer glide, I had heard HD was working on a water cooler and I was sure it would be a tourer. I said my next HD would be a water cooled dresser. When they came out with the VROD I was disappointed. Im still riding the G glide and still waiting.

I was just at a family xmas party and when I mentioned to my cousin that I've been collecting motorcycles more than guns lately his new wife said, "Ah, donorcycles".

LOL! What wit. What biting sarcasm. I'm so impressed. Almost impressed as I am with another nitwit and his tedious "Harley junk" comment.

Too bad that 600 supersport is going to be the bike on the scrapheap while that "crappy" 883 will still be motoring along. As I type this the 883 is already worth more on the used bike market than that "superior" 600.

Self-delusion is a wonderous thing.

Default Not Riding In The Rain

"But you have to learn how to ride in the rain though..think Buz and Racer Boy would have a hard time with the liquid sunshine. I love riding in the rain cause the cruiser folks only come out and pose er ride when the sun shines."

My wife's S-Type R just shat 7.3 quarts of oil out the side of its crankcase, so she's driving my car and I'm riding a ZX-14 full-time until her new engine is installed. It rained two days last week and I had a blast!

BRW: How many races have you won in the rain? I've won several.

How comfortable are you with sliding both ends? Dirt, pavement, you name it... sliding is fun.

Comparing three POS bikes. OK, I guess that is fair.

Default Re: I have one of those Viagra Pen-and-Pencil sets...

My Sis-in-law is a Family Practitioner, she gets these free "branded samples" all the time. She gave me a box of band-aids a few years back, all branded with the "Viagra" trademark and colours.

I had to use a few, on a conspicuous cut on my arm. My [then] Boss saw them, gave me a quizzical look - so I sez to him "It's the new 'Viagra Patch', the Ol' Lady has got one HELL of a surprise comin' when I get home". Then I walked away.
