The Shadow 750 engine is similar to the 3-valve engine in the HawkGT/Bros/Revere/Deuville(sp?), but for a single crankpin and cast-in "psuedo-fins" on the barrels and heads, plus a heavier flywheel and reciprocating parts.



These are all based on the old 500cc Ascot engine, if I recall correctly.



Honda has gotten a LOT of miles and Iterations from that venerable 52deg. V-Twin "base design", including a new EFI DOHC 4-valve update for the new Dullsville 650 (now something like 685cc - mem'ry here).
