I'm sorry, that post wasn't controversial-enough for him to catch the Gist of it.

You'll have to rephrase it in Psuedo-Engineer-Speak, or insinuate President Bush thinks it would be a good idea for KPaul to follow this Plan - THEN you'll get a response.

Heck, I'll do one for you for only an extra $500.

I'don't know about this. I can get a trailer that will hold a snowmobile and has full 15" automobile style wheels for under $1000. Maybe if this were around $700 it would seem a better deal, but methinks this is just another grossly overpriced product simply because it is associated with the word "motorcycle".

I never helped Craig Vetter get rich with his overpriced Windjammers and I don't think I'll help these guys either.

So having a lot of tongue weight on a tiny front drive car is a bad thing?

Is it worse than pulling a boat with a KLR?

You waited for that attractive, adjustable "Wing Jammer" to come out, didn't you?

I like it for it's small footprint when stored, but $1,400? Seems a bit steep, especially for 8" wheels.

I also have a Harbor Freight trailer, with 12" wheels no less. It was $249 shipped, some knuckle skinning assembly required.

Yes, the HF trailer has cheap bearings. I plan on replacing them with better ones for a lot less than $1,400. The HF trailer can be used for utility stuff as well.

This is a nice niche trailer and a good tool for a specific job, but it's price makes it more suited to someone who has some money to throw around.

The impoverished renters out there will be wise to go with the Harbor Freight job every time. My HF trailer looks Ghetto Fabulous and rather high performance After adding some racy moto stickers to it's rails and painting the plywood decking black.

I agree. The trailer axle looks too far back. It should be under the crankshaft on the bike, so the most of the bike's weight rides on the trailer's axle, not on the tongue.

Imagine what would happen to that poor Focus if he strapped a Hayabusa on there?

I bought a used pair of Vetter "Hippo Hands" in the late 70’s. Think I paid 10 bucks for ‘em. Worked great then, work great now. Back in the day, all I had was a bike, so I used them all winter. Now I just use the bike for pleasure, and only use the Hippo Hands two or three times a year when I start a ride at 20F or below. Hippo Hands + heated handgrips = comfy hands all the time!

IÂ’m glad Mr. Vetter got rich selling these things, and IÂ’m glad I could help (by participating in a robust "used market"). I mean, how often can you find an accessory like this thatÂ’s both functional and stylish?
