KP is back with a brand new invention. In-line 600cc four in case I didn't mention.

Something that grabs a hold of me tightly

Then I flow like a R1, both daily and nightly

Will it ever stop? Yo -- I don't know

Good thing you didn't just take the wiper off.

...but pick up the throttle and let the exhaust fumes flow.

I go crazy when I hear a V-four

Enjoy the back-side when you ride with the man-*****

K K baby.

Default Re: Look at the total package

Dude, when was the last time you rode a "modern" (less than 2yo) 600 or 1000?

How many big (liter plus) twins have you ridden? (of any year)

When you roll on the throttle of any literbike (four or two cylinders) it will flatten your eyeballs if you can get it to hook up and keep the front wheel on the ground. Absolutely unlike any 600 *I* have ever ridden.

Interestingly enough, I got to ride several of the most popular bikes of the last ten years, back to back to back to back, summer of '05.

An '04 R6, a '9x 900RR, a '9x Superhawk, and a '03 Z1000 (oh, and my FZ6, as well). While the R6 is quite the corner-carving machine, it didn't even come close to the power-junkie-gimme-some-more-O-dat-crack feel of even the "slowest" of the literbikes (the Superhawk).

And yeah - I could feel the difference between the 900RR and the Z1000 - the 900 felt sorta like the R6 - that is, less oopah-loompahs down low, then the KATY, BAR THE FOUR-ASTERISK'N DOOR hit as the revs built, only with Grundles more muscle everywhere; and it "felt" heavier in the corners.

The Z1000 had power everywhere. Hell, the thing's power frightened me even when the engine was off, parked. A *GOOD* fright, mind. But I don't know that it was MORE powerful than the 900RR - it just didn't deliver it the same way.

Mind, all of these rides were only 5-6 miles long, we were swappin' bikes at the end of the day to see what the toys the other guy brung were like........ (but, one North Georgia Mountains mile = like 15 Seattle miles)
