I liked the story, having been in Rome recently myself and having rented a scooter in Greece. One should probably mention that scooter rental is the most popular way for tourists to kill themselves in Greece and I'm willing to bet that goes for Rome too. Maybe spend a day walking or driving a car to get used to the traffic and rules (lack of) before going out. It should be fun, but plan on getting honked at.

The drive down the Amalfi Coast road is something that everyone should experience at least once. It's very possibly my favorite road to drive in the whole world.



Now, one of these days, I'd like to go back there with a Ducati or a Shelby Cobra instead of a rental car, and really tear it up!
