I totally agree. I have a black fat boy seriously uncooled by a red pin stripe, exactly the kind you would expect to see on a chinese made children´s bicycle named Lucky Poem Flower.

" But then I loved the Rune also, which has drawn plenty of critisism from the stylistically most backward segment of the motoring public (=longride). "

I guess the fact they quit making it hasn't quite sunk in yet? How many Rune's did you buy? I bet none. The thing was the biggest over-blown, over-styled piece of crap ever to come down the pike. They couldn't give em away, and they still can't. They have three brand new ones on Ebay RIGHT NOW even though they quit making them 2 years ago. Go pick one up Mr. Style. I hope you really aren't that stupid, but you never know.

That should read:

" But then I loved the Rune also, which has drawn plenty of critisism from the stylistically most backward segment of the motoring public (=people who actually buy motorcycles). "

Default Facts and Data says it will be rare collector item soon

Heck how much are 1956 T-Birds selling for on Barret Jackson auction on Speed TV? Edsels? Gremlins? Javlins? Corvairs?

Wish I could afford to buy a Rune?

You got to admit that cruiser riders by their very nature are not the most forward thinkers.. longrider being a GPTB founding member is proof of that. If you were a forward thinker you won't buy a geezer glide etc.

Absolutely. Instead of buying a 1900s designs we are far more forward looking and buy 1910's designs. (eyes rolling).

Sportbikers are NOT forward thinkers. They belly up and buy whatever the manufacturers sell no matter that there are several generations of designs already on the drawing boards so that they can sell "all new latest and greatest" to the suckers year after year through miniscule improvements.

Oh how superior is the intelligence that buys planned obsolesnce. (snicker snicker).

I never have liked the Bandit's half fairing. I'd rather a small bar-mounted windshield. I put one on my '77 BMW R100S, and it worked great.
