Using analogies as posted today, you could include every softail, dyna, and xl1200 in this. That's my arguement, just because the motor is big doesn't mean it qualifies for the class. Go up to any Valkyrie owner and ask if they own a power cruiser. Based on cc size many in this thread would say yes to that. The average Valk owner would say no.

The Mean Streak was a previous years winner. Inclusion could be likened to the nostaligia of the VMax. Or we just wanted to ruffle all yer feathers.. we win!

OK so if we all agree there is a class of more powerful cruisers above this class (called for example godzilla cruisers like Seruzawa suggests) then I will withdraw my case. Because I don´t have one! Pheeww I can clear my desk of empty cans of Mylanta now. Also better get that sign "Death to MO imperialist swine-bastards" out of my garden

Damn, I think it was 36 this morning and it's going up to a whopping 48. Rode in this morning. I'm already getting used to it.

Fonzie- First, thanks for the ideas on the paint on my bike last spring. Second, I am with you on the 'Streak. It's not powerful in outright hp numbers. It does do many things better than its bigger, more powerful counterparts.

Default kMRI-says Excellent Review

kpaul Motorcycle Review Index

Entertaining - 9

Technical Facts and Data - 9.5

Fair and Balanced - 9.5

Writing Style - 9

Pictures -9

Relevance to me - 8

Video - NA

Audio - NA

Final Score- 9.0

Good things

Loved the "Buyin' 'em and keepin' 'em up section is great" Hope you add it to all of your reviews.

After reading the article my rankings were the same as Fonzies. Buz makes a great point about the HD looking good and the Warrior needing some clean up. Definitely had a sense that the reviewers were being fair and objective

Areas of improvement

Having some Audio/Video of the bikes would have been nice for us sound freaks. Especially so we could get a sense of what Buz was talking about with the V-Max. Pictures were good but having some urban settings i.e. have the bikes lined up outside some bar with a few girls sitting on them or the classic Southern California beach/dock ocean thing would be good screen saver material.

Yes Fonzie you have made us spoiled brats with your fanatic photos.

Summary

Fun reading for my lunch hour. Better than the print rags and other web sites by far. Buz was a good addition (I hate saying that). I like the spruiser "Buz"word

[i]Thanks MO...Great work.

He's busy charging his battery, and he does it better than you or Seruzawa could any day of the week pal! He's got a BCA (Battery Chargers of America) certification, and he'll put that up against anything YOU have any day of the week. Just remember that.

Yep I hate to say this but Buz was a good addition. He has that Italian sense of style/good taste and the has that great marketing perspective.. Ok that's my one compliment for the year..back to ripping his opinions apart

I'd say the Valk is a power cruiser deluxe. The whole thing is kinda silly anyway. It's like the sport tourer category. Lean to the sport side and you get Busa and ZX-14, the tour side gets FJ1300 and ST1300. It's all rather confusing.
