If you are going to put the Rune in there, you might as well throw the Boss Hoss into the ring. I'd venture to say it'd make mince meat of all the above bikes.

Fine article, Gabe! Just tell them they should "try to invent something like 'inward singing.'"

I work so cheaply they can't afford to fire me.

Plus we all hung at my house at the end of the riding day. I got to drink and they couldn't cuz they had to ride home!

The original power cruisers were the big displacement 4s of the mid-80s. The Vmax, V65 Magna and KZ1000 Eliminator originally defined the power cruiser. There was also the Suzuki Madura but that bike is best forgotten. These bikes opitimized tire shredding power and probably were more like dragbikes in concept... the Vmax and Eliminator more than the V65 which wheelied too easily. So, handling was not of much importance. Straight line stoplight to stoplight acceleration was the point. Handling was never of much importance for the power cruiser. The testers complianed about the handling of these bikes even back then.

On that basis I'd say the RocketIII, M109, VTX1800 and Vulcan 2000 are definitely power cruisers. The Mean Streak definitely is not.

Much as it pains me I gotta side with anarajalala or whatever his handle is. The VMax and Eliminator basically originally defined the power cruiser. I first saw the term "power cruiser" applied to the VMax. By that measure I'd have to call those big twins power cruisers. Handling was never important in the power cruiser. They were more like dragbikes, really.

You'd be right about the handling part except for the fact that the term "power cruiser" was first applied to the VMax. And it still doesn't handle worth a shyt.

BTW I think the review is just fine. There's probably too much attention being paid to semantics.

Maybe you could have a future "Godzillabike" comparo? Though the RocketIII would have to be called the "Gorgo".

Did you need your electric vest? I see it's down to 60 degrees.

You had to invoke his name didn't you?

Make a comment about healthcare. That'll do the trick.
