Remember the Kawasaki ZL1000 Eliminator. Ninja motor, shaft drive fast as sh*t. If Kawi took the ZX14 motor and just detuned it a little (say 150 crank hp) they'd sell.

I imagine a left hand throttle had to be put on one of the bikes.

This has been one of the most pointless comparisons I have ever lost my time reading. I hope it was all just a practical joke.

Entertaining and informative test guys, thanks. Not my cup 'o tea bikewise but they are good for some fun. Some of em aren't bad but in general I don't get the "Cruiser" styling/functioning thing.

Ace, I am sorry to say but you have lost all reason. Please stop doing whatever you are doing, go home and have some rest. Whatever you do, don´t talk to your wife. It´s a little known fact that the guy who killed and cooked his wife in New Orleans started his downhill by opinionating: "Don´t confuse the VN2000 and VTX with power cruisers, in fact they are weedy offroaders".

Just to bring a little ray of reality back to your life, if it is not too late already, which I am starting to doubt, let me just say that those bikes are cruisers. Also, they are powerful. So they are power cruisers.

If they have or don´t have good handling in the bends is totally beside the point. Sure, good handling is better than bad, but not very much better since you scrape the floorboards anyway.

Entertaining read - as always. You goofballs have even got me reading cruiser articles again; no easy task.

But still all you get to choose between is bad handling, poor ergos, B-team fit & finish & slab-o-marble seats. Too many compromises just to be able to show a bit of dude a 'tude. Maybe I should add a skullet to put a bit of dudish flash to my old school sport-touring 'Stitch look? Sure would compliment them thar Farrken Concho's.

Guess I'll stay here in the more comfy, quicker and better handling Sport Tourer Land.

Oh, love the videos! Squeaky voices, Bates leathers...excellent!

Please, FAST...get a directional mike with a windsock. PLEASE!! Another hint: did you know that consumer grade "SteadyCams" are available? Get one!!

I totally agree with you on this one. Already in current 170 hp version the Kawi 14 engine has more low-down torq than V-Rod.
