Well, you can use it for your next Sportbike Shootout, just change the wording a bit.

From my newby sportbike bigot perspective I thought all Harleys were cruisers... Thanks for the insight.

I could never ride a bike with feet way out in front of me. I've done it and hate it. None of those bikes appeal to me really. The HD with feet back would be fun to try out but it's a bike with an identity crisis.

The Hammer is a look at me bike with no real fun appeal.

Warrior is better but long, heavy, and oooh that riding position.

Vmax is what it is...ancient with retro looks and retro handling and a big motor. I'll pass.

Meanstreak has no balls.

There are others like the Rocket III, VTX...but whatever....I've ridden lots of cruisers and most if not all bore me to tears.

With bikes like the new Kawi 14 touring, FJR...etc..don't even know why anyone would buy a cruiser except if you like the classic look.

I'll continue to wear out my '02 CBR1100XX....which I wouldn't trade for any "power cruiser" on the planet.

Default When are we going to get a 600cc comparo?

Screw this power cruiser stuff. When is the 600cc sportbike comparo coming out? I can't decide between the CBR and the GSX-R.

Just kidding. Interesting stuff on the Street Rod. That's the first real review I've been able to read on it. I was suprised to hear you say it looked well assembled. To me, it looks like a collection of parts but I haven't seen one in person yet.

Gabe, judging from the feedback you'd think you just detonated a suitcase nuke on Tahiti. Personally, I think that makes this the most entertaining story of the year. Rock on. Next time don't forget to put in an old Connie, SV or Interceptor to make it fair for everyone.

Look Ace, Ace, we are both cruiser guys, apart from you, so we know what we are talking about. Where you went to high school (ok so wildly optimistic assumption here), which probably was on planet Dwerb, "handling" obviously equated with "power". Even more than power itself. But here on earth things are a bit different.

In your world of flying pink bath tubs it´s admittedly hard to grasp these things but let´s try an analogy: The power trucks, for example, have more power than regular trucks. If an Isuzu 1600 cc truck handled twice as good as the rest, and the company would market it as a power truck, and the owners would call it a power truck, and the owners´hot wives (this is the hardest bit to imagine) would call it a power truck, and it would have a large POWER TRUCK decal on both sides, and "today´s power truck buyer was yesterdays sport car owner", it would still be a pissy non-power anemic underperforming PoS. Not a power truck.

Where do I get a suitcase nuke? Does it come with wheels?

In any case, I didn't write this; Pete did! He did a fine job, too. We probably should have explained the lack of M109, though.

I really liked the Street Rod. It's the most interesting big bike Harley makes, for sure. Anybody who rides a VR-series bike will be impressed by it, I think. If it had a decent seat and some wind protection it would be a pretty fine motorcycle. Not for me, mind you, but for somebody who likes to do their own thing and enjoy a unique product. (like my Uncle Larry, who is now serving consecutive 25-year sentences in a federal medium-security facility).

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
