I got to say the Hammer was over penalized for it's need of steering input. So what you ride it awhile the the brain automatically learns the bike and compensates. Hell I've ridden bikes with car tires, and after a few minutes of riding they turn without problems. While a fat tire requires more input it also looks really cool on a "Power Cruiser".

Really. No M109R? The newest and (supposedly) baddest power cruiser on the market and you don't include it? Yet the 21 year old V-max makes it in the comparo.

I'm sure I don't understand the politics and/or the logistics involved in these tests, but, NO M109R? Really?

Great write up Pete. I too want to echo another MOrons' comment about including the maintenance info., great data. I was surprised how reasonable the Harley maintenance prices were, seems like my brother pays 75% more than that when his bike is serviced, but it's not a V-rod. Can't get to worked up about the choice of bikes, I imagine you get what you get. But damnit, you didn't get mine! Actually, I wouldn't buy one of these for at least another 20 years, when I'm old and sedate and flatulent enough.

Clearly, the most obvious example of this genre not included in this test is the M109. Too bad. As the newest of this group I think it's the one your readers would be most curious about.

The Street Rod, by virtue of its riding/foot peg position, is not a cruiser.

You suck! You didn't include the RocketIII and the M109. You guys all suck! Just thought I'd join the crowd.

So now it's the foot peg position which determines what bike should be in the test?

Oi!

I think what most people don't realize is that bikes aren't always available to test. I don't know if that is the case here.

Also, as a MO test veteran, having more than 4 bikes in a shootout seems to turn it into a total cluster-phuck and makes evaluating the bikes properly almost impossible.
