I don't think there's anything wrong with a de-tuned bulletproof engine or solid rideability, but I do think you can wrap than it an affordable, attractive, even practical package. This bike just looks like a cheap bin bike with about two hours to design.

Besides the Kawasaki 750s (http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mckaw/05_Z750S/index.motml) is already this bike (damned near) and though similar in styling, seems more thoughtful and gets good reviews. My guess is the 750s is not selling well either.

Right on! Aside from the Blackbird and early VFR's Honda hasn't made an appealing bike for years -- aside from the race replicas for people who dig that. I'm sure there's a GoldWinger out there who'll say otherwise.

Because they'll send this snoozer over, unload them at a loss after 3 years, and conclude that the U.S. doesn't want standards. Then on the odd chance they DO come up with something interesting, they'll keep them in Europe.

Hmmmn:

- it needs another gallon of gas capacity

- wow, it's uninspiring to look at. Ugly, even.

It's a shame, because otherwise it's the type of bike I'm likely to purchase next: a big, do-it-all standard.

I guess I'll get by with my CBR600 for a while longer.
