Awsome. I prefer my all-metal 4-speed 1975 Vespa Rally 200 for a daily ride though, while wearing my lee parks deer tours of course.

Always glad to see a real world story about real world machines but I concur with the idea that actual speed and mileages should be reported. as we got in the recent Vespa 250 GTS story.
To say the Aprilia Scarabeo 500 represents Italian mechanical beauty is weird to my eyesight- I think it would have done the MZ factory from the late German Democratic Republic proud;which shouldn't detract from its usefulness, if one is feeling charitable. This weekend I took a 1,000 mile trip round Florida's flatlands and rolling hill country north of Tampa and found 65-70 mph was a comfortable cruising speed for my 50 yoa lifestyle. A Vespa 250 would have been a lot more comfortable and economical and would have surprised a lot more clumps of H-D's farting along the highways. I wonder ...

But this is a family website! All models are at least 18 years of age.

I have a great pair of underpants that double the changing interval due to their symmetrical design. After the first week I just turn them front to back.

I've been a bit nervous about the idea of those tiny wheels spinning at such a mad rate at freeway speeds. Partially this is based on the problems I've had with small tires on various trailers including having one completely disintegrate at 70mph. It would stand to reason that tire life would be very low on scooters like the Morpheous. Since I'm not able to mentally control the Matrix and simply create a new tire whenever I want to I'd probably opt for a larger wheeled scooter like the Aprilia or Burgman. However since the Aprilia or Burgman cost about what one would pay for an Ninja 650 I'd never get the Aprilia in the first place.
Never mind. Omigod! I just engaged in circular logic. Is KP's mental illness contagious?
