"Styling is a little over done, but I see where they were trying to go with it."

You do? Looks like a terribly garish attempt at trying to emulate something from Italy.

They get it, it's just a totally different perspective, this is Anime` on wheels. Personally I'd rather see them crank out this type of thing than constantly try to spin-off what-ever HD comes out with. At least it's their own style.

What were they thinking? Can you imagine trying to split lanes with those pipes?

Japanese styling lurches into the pre-Dreamcycle era once again. Maybe some whitewalls to set those big gold pipes off?

A purple one would look like a can of malt liquor.

Looks more like an FZ 1 than anything Italian, at least it's unique instead of another cookie cutter V twin. I think it looks cool in a way

IMHO despite that I really dislike look quite a few of Kawasaki latest, I am glad they not copying Harley. At least for last 50 years....

Each food for different crowd. And if you want to see almost perfect design from Japan there is plenty of models to choose from. As for HD design - it's like all-alike models of Porshe 911. It's simple to get it right if you do not change much. New V-rod based line was a nice suprise, really well done.

IMO KTM is not bad at all, specially in real life. It's a whole and consitent badass supermoto, this way styled KTMs always been top of the list in Europe amongst mad offroaders and supermotards. It got consistency and it is quite understated - matt paint, simple lines and angles. 990 Duke in titanium looks stunning and basically in any KTM you will not find half as many design elements as in this new Z1000...This one looks like real cheap korean sport car, it is pity - put old Z1000 bodywork on it and it'll be cool.

The styling is extreme but when you see it side-by-side with the 2006, the new model looks more integrated, not like something you built yourself from spare parts. So what about the handlebarzzzzzzzzzzz ? Still buzzy?
