Yeah, but old GS's are ugly and cool! I've beat the snot out of mine for 135,000 miles and the only major component that failed was an alternator rotor at about 60,000 miles.

I'm with ya on all that stuff but since one can shape plastic anyway they want to, why do they have to shape it so damn ugly?

Bangle has already phucked up all the cars and his little brother must be uglying up the bikes.

I was sniffing around the '91-93 GSPDs for a while to use as a "second" putt around town and short trip bike. I just couldn't do it, picking up a new KLR 650 in the morning.

Actually, what's amazing to me is that the new K bikes might be just as ugly, or uglier, with the body work off.

The chassis reminds me of a broken-down plow horse.

The broken down plow horse is also a no-cost option.

yeah it is ugly. They are trying to be all cutting-edge innovative, but trying to do it with old Japanese pieces that don't quite fit together. I rather have a Buell.

The KLR makes for a better dirt bike. The old GS is a better all arounder though.

Oh you and your bueels, did you know that in 1960 a Mustang Motor Scooter turned a high 12 second quarter mile at over 90 mph?

Indeed.

I'm kind of partial to the Ulysses. Sat on one the other day and was a little put off by the lack of turning movement in the steering though.
