After seeing artist mock-ups of a ZX-14 sport tourer, I think I'll wait to see how it turns out. It may end up weighing 700 lbs too but I think it will be able to handle it. I also want to see how the new Norton 952 twin-saddle model turns out. I may just chuck the whole idea of sport touring, sell my ST1100 and get that work of art. I'll still have put down a $500 deposit and go on a waiting list but it seems more justified given Ken Dreer's financial picture than it does doing the same for Yo'mamaha.

I've heard the DSG system is nice. The SMG system actually has one swearing at the transmission.

I'm glad I leased it cuz I would never buy one with that tranny. Hopefully BMW will go the same route as Audi and VW.

America's Finest City has the finest by far.

When friends visit from neighboring states they are typically stupified. Plus I'm sure your steady diet of goth chicks and feminists in San Fran made anything look good!

I'll be up there in Sept. for a conference. I'll look you up and we'll have an adult beverage.

BMW cars are so sweet it'd be a crime againt the universe if SMG ain't fixed and fixed soon.

Thankfully BMW AG's car folks move a bit faster than the bike folks re fixin' stuff.

Unfortunately I still remember the last sport-tourer comparo. FJR lost to Ulysses although it had 50% more power and 100% wider power band than the an ancient worster engine. Would have been OK had it been called the unsport-tourer comparo.

The earlier models that were lighter and sans linked ABS brakes were more to my liking.

You forgot to mention the less than feminine looking transvestites.

I don't want to ride to far distant places on a motorcylel I might not be able to pick up if I dropped it. The hell of it is, by the time I'm old enough to consider something like this, I'll probably be too old to get it back on it's wheels.
