Yeah, there's no way that the government would spend billions of dollars on anything foolish. Not with all of the new atomic weaponry and advanced jet fighters we need so badly.

Default Really? I call it techy paranoia, sloppy research

I don't think you reseached this article well. Again you ingnore the cost of a real-time monitoring system infrastructure.. The data processing alone would be volumes. Like reproducing the existing cell system of the U.S Cause you can't use the existing system cause it would kill the band width. How would it pay for itself? examples please...Facts and Data please sir.. Like the cost of the infrastructure so support real-time monitoring and reporting Start there... I think my post about the most likely sceanario is more likely.. I think you are being sloppy here... too suggest that there is a real need or market for this... even if your buyer is big brother...

And, Speed Cameras are feckin' EASY to get rid of - all it takes is an old tire, a quart of petrol, a bit of rolled up newspaper and some matches, or an "Aim-N-Flame".

That's how the Brits seem to deal with the worst "offenders".

I've yet to hear of any prosecutions for these so-called "acts of Vandalism" (JUSTICE!)

Where's "Angle-Grinder Man" when you need him?

I wonder how a big fat magnet would affect the "black box"?

Oh, use of the roads *IS* a right - but driving is still a privelidge. You have the Right to occupy space on that road, just no right to drive on it.

That, my friends, is a Permitted (Noun) Activity.

A great editorial Fred. It is a shame that this kind of news is confined to websites like this. As much as I hate to be "so outside the mainstream of political thought our culture" I often have thoughts that our mainstream media intentionally bury this type of information. Probably just delusional paranoia on my part.

We should all be Libertarians and give a crap about personal responsibility and not some wack-jobs idea of political correctness and "safety".

The entrenched pols aren't goingt o change on their own, we actually have to give a crap about them F-ing us left and right.

We DO have the Constitutional Right to petition the government ... when they stop listening, we start the revolution.

It REALLY is as simple as that.

Yeah, I wonder when the gov't is going to require the CRIMINALS to register their guns/cars/whatever-BS-they-deem-"illegal"-next-week?

Rather than turning us all into criminals, they could enforce the statutes that are ALREADY on the books prior to the mid-term election season ... *eyeroll*
