I had not considered the link between the squidmeister and "lil-dx".

That would explain so much!

Sort of off topic, but this is why everyone jumps on K-Hole so quickly.

Here is an author, a well respected author with decades of experience, and K-Hole treats him like sh!t.

It doesn't matter if he likes or hates Demos or Rebubs. What gets under everyoneÂ’s skin is that he considers his opinion fact, refuses to listen to anyone else, insults you, and will refuse to acknowledge when he is mistaken even when he has been show info disproving his theories.

I've never been a fan of thinking he should be banned, but if it is either getting good content from people like Fred or having the forums cluttered with K-Hole's posts, well I would rather see him banned.

Cuz if this is what Fred can expect in the future, why would he offer MO any more content?

Oh, and bigdx coments are really creepy.

kpaul's granddad, circa 1945:

"Using radar to catch speeders? Ha, ha! Sure, we've got the technology, but how the hell could using such expensive devices be worth it for the amount of tickets you'd write? What, you're going to equip police officers with costly radar emitters and have them sit there and catch speeders? Ha, ha! Dream on! You've been watching too much DuPont Network News."

"bigdx coments are really creepy" Yeah, so are mine sometimes. I shouldn't have such thin skin, and resort to pettiness so quickly.

I completely agree about this thread. I have defended squid in the past, but insulting Fred is just way way way out of line. Like I said upthread, I have absolutely no reason to disagree with Fred's conclusions. The whole dem-pub debate is just silly on this one. I'm not ready to become VWW (libertarian), but to deny that all elements of our government want to control every teeny aspect of our lives so they can produce revenue is just plain ridiculous.

I second that feeling. Don't leave us, Fred!

It would explain a lot, but unfortunately I think I am wrong on this one. Ya never know, though.

Well every group needs a punching bag, Kpaul makes a good one. I'm sure Fred has gotten his share of negative mail in the past and will get more in the future, it goes with the profession.
