Re: Road Rage and You

What is a John Birch-worshipping GPTB and do you consider all pickup drivers; rednecks?

Are you some kinda Karl Marx worshipping liberal moonbat?

I've been riding bikes for more than a few (58 yrs) years and have had one instance of being crowded on an on ramp, I dropped a gear, accelerated away and that was the end of it.

I pretend that I'm invisible, I ride aggressively and smoothly. Forty two of those bike riding years, I lived in the S.F. Bay Area.

I'm a recovering liberal democrat, I drive a Ford F-150 SVT Lightning and a Ford Bronco and I ride a Suzuki SV650.

I also carry a S&W CS9 (9MM) handgun ~ I have a concealed carry licence :):)

When in doubt, add more power!

Re: Um, Hitler is not a leftist.

Dear lawyer. I assume that you are not form the USA as you apparently are out of the loop on Bush's social programs. As for Hitler, what part of the use of socialist in the name of the Nazi party eludes you? It is true that National Socialism differs from Communism, but it is definitely not a free market economy. BTW Franklin D. Roosevelt was a great admirer of Benito Mussolini in his early days. Most of our socialist programs in which the government here is the USA took control of the free market were put in place by FDR during his "New Deal" and were direct copies of Mussolini's actions in Italy

Re: Road Rage and You

GPTB-stands for Gray Pony Tail Brotherhood..In short in means baby boomer cruiser rider. A true GPTB member rides a Harley, lives in a red state, loves W, and hates all squids.. Kpaul (McCain Republican) invented the term (verified many times by GPTB member seruzawa) when he noticed that a large number of cruiser riders on MO were misinformed about current affairs such as the power of modern 600cc sportbikes, W's reckless fiscal policy leading to record deficits, declining dollar, and rising interest rates, V-Twins in motorcycle racing etc. No doubt GPTB ignorance is caused by too much FOX News viewing...

It's ironic many GPTB members have more in common with likes of John Kerry and John McCain than W. i.e. in the case of Kerry and McCain both are vietnam vets and Kerry is an avid Harley rider.

More GPTB stuff, Buzglyd, pickups, handguns and more

All pickup drivers are rednecks..I used drive one..

Because you ride an excellent motorcycle like a SV650 you would have to petition Buzglyd for a wavier in order to get membership into the GPTB.

However, because you own a handgun and drive a pickup you have a good chance of getting in..

Re: Road Rage and You

"Kelley goes on to explain: "I think murder is an inappropriate charge for what we know as road rage. [In] a lot of road-rage incidents, the perpetrator did not in fact intend to kill the other person...they intended to `teach them a lesson', they intended to bump them...just to flip them out a little. They acted with a reckless disregard for the well-being of another, but it's no different than driving with a reckless disregard if they are impaired by alcohol, drugs, age, or whatever." "

What a load of horsesh*t. How is it different than if they decided to 'teach them a lesson' by firing a few shots from a pistol at them? If you use a gun, it is assault with a deadly weapon. It is intentional and it is murder. What is the difference if a motor vehicle is used instead? Typical lawyer.

Re: and wear a full face helmet.

boru4761

Just stopped laughing long enough to thank you for sharing your experience. That helmet is one of the few advantages we have out there-NEVER take it off in any threatening situation. Might even deflect a bullet. My theory on road rage-these morons are life's losers. No self esteem, pent up anxieties from a lack of control in their lives. Oh, and bad parents-these people weren't born in a rage. Just another reason why we need to license people before conceiving-need to prove your capacity to love and teach another human being.

By the way, if you carry a gun openly or otherwise and plan to shoot a fellow motorist, you are even a worse moron than he is. Even if you do manage to pull off a Dirty Harry response and kill/wound him(or her), do you actually think you won't go to jail for a very long time? Is that worth the testosterone rush? Just back off, lose the idiot, get yourself under control and live another day.

Ride safe and just remember you are superior to most of the rest of humankind-act like it.
