I absolutely 100% agree with maladg.

Try living with the bikes for 2-3 weeks on daily commutes, make 2-3 500 mile days, and try riding them in rough and twisty mountain roads, "real world miles". Your results might be different. It was a real miss for me in the liter bike shootout.

I've got my doubts. The MO staff seems to have cast iron stomachs if past eating habits are of any indication.

Default We Wonder Too...

We are considering a 675/GSXR 750/749 test sometime in the future.

Bravo Bravo !! I always look forward to the 600 shootout. I feel even better that I own a 636 Ninja, perhaps now people will stop giving me so much trouble about "cheating"

I have no doubt that the Triumph 675 is a better bike, however, I have to think that you judgement was clouded slightly by the fact that the person who provided the bike was in the test and graded the bikes.

Also I believe the actual OTD cost and parts cost will be much greater for thr 675, for instance my dealer has $1500 discounts on all 06 Ninja 636's and 600's.

And on a final note, it would be very nice to see the Duc 749 compared to these as the hp and tq fall within the same range. Well here's to next year and a new CBR600RRand probably a heavily revised 636.

Default Teaser

Well Sean, if Ducati didn't have a couple of new bikes coming out that I really, really want, a Triumph purchase might not have been a bad idea.

I'm looking forward to that 1200cc superbike myself. That's going to make a great track/street bike if they make it..
