Where's the Bimota? I know they made a YB9SRI. Even if they didn't sell it in the USA this year, and are going bankrupt.

I was thrilled to see this article finally posted and to see the fruits of the labor of the MO staff. The article is good, but as you said, there are no strip times do to the weather. I was surprised to see the 748S in the competition, I just don't see the need for it to be there. Thanks for including the TT600, can't wait to see how it fairs. It's amazing how the only carbureuted bike still manages to capture first place; Yamaha must really be on the ball with the R6. I'd still take the F4i any day, anywhere.

How much did yamaha pay you guys to say that the R6 won. You might as well froget about the other shootout out with the kaw and the tri, since they are not updated. Really how much did they pay you.

So, when MO does the real world evaluation, will we get details such as:

- valve adj intervals

- the factory guidelines for service time for major and minor services

- how easy it is to change the oil. ( You guys will change the oil in each bike at least once, right?

...etc?

How about insurance rates. I bought a sprint st over the vfr because of a $2,000 difference/year for full coverage. Does the tt600 work out the same way over the cbr600. That kind of money can cancel out a lot of tenths at the track.

Damn mental stability! Long live the new economy!

I'm thrilled that the R6 pulled it out, and care not a bit that the 748 was supposedly last. I'll drink coffee out of my Yamaha mug tomorrow morning with a bit more of a smile; I'll have to throw my favoritest Ducati T-shirt into the laundry tonight, though.

Now I just have to decide whether to get a red or blue SV650 so that I don't have to reinvest in a totally different palette of gear when I trade up.
