Heck, I cant even master one language and yes I did suffer. I suffered reading an excellent review of a bike Ive been drooling over but probably wont fit on.

Yossef, being vertically enhanced yourself and having ridden both versions does the new one have anymore leg room under the tank cutouts? Or is it the typical smaller / more compact routine that everyone has been going to the last decade?

Suzuki offers the fairing lowers if you want them.

I, too, think the SV is a terribly underrated bike. How many riders could ride an SV1K at even 75%, much less an RC51 or Mille?

I've seen the fairing lowers online as well, and saw one on the road this summer with the full-fairing bits. The biggest deal though is that at least here in Ontario Canada the SV1K doesn't get nailed by the 30-50% insurance surcharge on 'sport' machines, unlike other somewhat comparable bikes (VTR, TL-S, VFR).

I just don't understand why it NEVER gets mentioned in any of these comparisons -- MO I'd really like to know how it stacks up against some of the more recent machines!

Default too tall

seat to footpeg distance is about 17.5". A bit tighter than the old model but not an impossible fit for my 6'4".

As a mater of fact, I always cut up new footpeg brackets from 3/8" aluminum plate and lower the pegs in all of my bikes. Would definetely do so if I've owned a Tuono. Not a big deal really, certainly not a 1K$ dollar job as somone posted earlier.

Thank ya Sir, that saves me some time and money. At 6'6" with tree trunk legs lowering the pegs on the old model 2" wouldnt do the trick. Come on Hypermoto or KTM 950 Supermoto, seems the only thing sporty my Frankensteiness will fit on.
