I know this is possible with a big cruiser, but how about a sportbike? My R1 lays about 1" off the ground if I drop it. I don't think I could even get it up without help.

It's called "pissed" an amazing drug that allows you to lift many times your body weight.

I suppose with all said and done I'd rather ride a Goldwing than drive a car but to me they're about as far away from what I want in a bike as you can get.

I did see a cool one in Cycle Whirled a few years ago that had a low trunk and windshield and all black paint the looked really sharp but the stockers are just to much plastic and servo this and motorized electronic that for me. I like my bikes to have the bare minimum on them to do the job at hand, Wingers, K-LT's and Ultra's for that matter have more than I want on there.

My idea of a perfect tourer is the Road Glide or just slap a windshield on my Dyna.

The air bag should be a harness that you wear that inflates and lifts you up like a balloon

Default Elise...Quick

It's amazing what adding a little lightness can do for a wimpy little car. Of course back when Lotus was busy re-inventing the racecar, that reliable 180Hp 1.8 liter four-cylinder Toyota motor would have flat-embarrassed those old JAP and early Cosworth motors. Let's hear it for combining modern powerplants with hyper-light chassis. -Sean

5valve... you need to get yourself to a Honda dealer post haste and take a spin on a 599. It's a truly awesome little motorcycle light on the bells-n-whistles, heavy on the grins. -Sean

I agree with you jeffs,

today in Chicago I saw maybe three other motorcyclists (besides myself). One was a Ninja, the other was a goldwing, third was I Harley, then me on my old Honda shadow.

It wasn't that cold, wasnÂ’t raining, but strangely I saw about a million miata's. hmmm

what was the temp? "Not that cold" there could still mean 40s. The mc crowd really thins out in Virginia when it drops below about 50. Or tops 95.

The new mazda miata is one devilishy good looking little car imo. I think theyre going to sell them as fast as they can make them. Its not real fast of course but not slow either for a car.
