I used to tour on my FLHP Shovelhead, aside from being a gutless stock 74 it worked ok. 'Course we smoked a lot of weed back then but the bike just chug-a-lugged down the road just fine.

Great review, Fred, realy enjoyed your perspective as an Informed-Winger. Didn't know about the "new" radiators. One thing I didn't see mentioned, and that was in the press release: the new "LAF sensors" for the fuel injection. Is this for emissions, better mileage, would it make the bike run hot, etc? Anyway, considering a purchase of one and this was a big help. Keep your articles comin'.

And you sure get a lot for your money, unlike other bikes--namely red Italian sportbikes that cost more than twice that of their eastern counterparts, but nowhere near as fast. Heck, they don't even look good anymore.

About the only 4-wheeled vehicle I've found that can approach the fun of a motorcycle (any motorcycle) is a Jeep. And then mainly because you can carry a cooler, or you can have fun thinking up new ways to make use of the roll bar with your girlfriend.

Whoops, i see its called an MX-5 in 2006, not Miata anymore. OK, enough about small convertibles with four wheels. Same price as a Goldwing though, remember that.
