That KTM 620 or 625 Adventure has caught my eye too. Ive got a Kawa KLR 650 and see the KTM's 52 hp as a step up. Maybe an expensive one though. Reliability ok?

I spent last weekend in the twisties with my DRZ400S and it was fantastic (far better I thought than my friend's converted supermotard CRF650). I won't change it because I also play in the dirt but the motard version has got to be great. The engine is plenty strong and suspension is very good. This type of bike is a fun addition to my sport and off road bikes.

Just gotta watch out for van mirrors as the mirrors on my old KLR loved 'em while lane splitting.

Hi Sean,

Why don't you test the new 980 KTM Supermoto?

Could you please test it against the Duc Multistrada and the Buell Ulysses?

Thank you

KTM four strokes are pretty bulletproof, as are their 2 stroke racers. The LC4s (400, 620, 625, and 640) are known for reliability. They use the engine as the basis for their Dakar race bikes.

I just returned from a 1200 mile trip aboard the Geezer glide with the woman. We did Yosemite and the Big Sur Highway.

You can imagine being on that ancient relic of a motorcycle we didn't have any fun.
