I found a pic of that camera... yeah, a built-in mic only is really going to limit what you can do about the sound. If you're going to keep using that camera, I'd say try to attach a thick piece of foam over the mic instead of tape. It might be an improvement.

If you can change to a camera/recorder that can use an external mic, I found some advice here

and here

Then there's the helmet cam option probably best coupled with a small video recorder, but I have no idea what your budget is.

Please know I'm just trying to help, I know its a tough problem, I haven't figured it out with the equipment I have yet. Your review was excellent, thanks!

Oh, and I just found these guys. They seem to have products using some kind of furry cover over the mic. Must be effective, they've been in business 30 yrs.

25 years, is that all? This Guzzi 1100 cc engine predates you then.

Well it will be lumped with so-called "ancient" engines. This thing was well known when Joan Collins was still a virgin.

I beg to differ. You go 160 km/h into a blind bend on a dark night with a slight snow fall, and your left foot is dancing with 1) brakes, 2) clutch and 3) light dimmer.

The clips should have 192 kbs sampling rate as a minimum. You got large and small pictures, you can have large and small sound clips.

Hey Doctor

As said, i'm 6'4" and no parts whatsoever where burnt, actually found the Griso very roomy save for the highish pegs.

On my personal bikes I usually install custom made peg brackets that are lower for even more leg room.
