#1, great article - good to see you guys got to ride a lot of the bikes.

#2, man I love seeing some shots from around Boulder, were I've done most of my riding - Peak to Peak, Boulder Canyon, Golden Gate Canyon, Left-Hand, and that super-high road up in Rocky Mountain State park (obviously you guys didn't do all that stuff, but still, it was sweet to see some CO summer - I live in Virginia now, and it's not as entertaining from a motorcycle / police presence standpoint).

Now if only there were a less expensive, smaller displacement model Ala Multistrada 620 or 650GS. I'd be buying American for sure on my next bike...

You're a trim 300 lbs. if your picture is fairly recent. You must have a big bone structure.

Well, maybe I won't scratch it off the list, yet.

I looks smaller than it is, with the rear sets and clip-ons it feels like any 70's euro sportbike, IE not as cramped as a GSXR or Ninja. If it racks my elbows too bad I'll change out the clip-ons for on of the riser kits available, for now it's a kick in the ass.

Here's the part where you get derided for riding a ~70HP motorcycle. Deride deride deride nyahhh nyahh nyahh. You only think you are having fun. Your bike is air cooled so you can't be having fun. Your Thruxton can't do sub-10 sec 1/4 miles....... no, you are actually having a miserable time.

The Ulysses looks truly awesome. Sounds like it will be a break-through motorcycle for Erik Buell and Co. If I hadn't just bought a new GS, I'd look long and hard at the new Ulysses ... saving myself $4K would have been most welcome.

One more time... like my Multistrada the Ulysses is a ROAD bike.

Good paved roads, bad paved roads, dirt roads, even logging trails... but it is NOT an off-road bike and it is not being marketed as such.

Get a Roadglide and wear earplugs. The fairing is frame mounted and the stereo is much more audible with ear plugs taking out the wind noise.

Maybe we could organize a deride to work day for everybody with an air-cooled bike <100 hp.
