There is ground school but its compressed compared to the civy version. The military accepts a Private Pilot license but the FAA doesn't accept a Fishpot grad as a pilot. Keep in mind that its a screening process i.e. they flunk wash out 70% not a licensing process. True instruction really takes place in UPT.

The instructors are civies and yes you fly as you go. It's a screening process not a licensing process.

I want to see someone riding a vespa, tuned or not, in a tux with a trombone gigbag on their back! You could probably park closer to the auditorium, and the vespa probably sounds better than the horn!

Damn, I'm good

Default Incorrect

For non ROTC and no regular (Academy grads).

Flight screening first (11 hours) then OTS, then UPT (flight training)... Like I said call a recruiter. It might have changed but thats how it was when I joined after college...

Man have things changed then... A current recuiter could only tell me what's current, unless they've been in a while.

Speaking of change, you heard they're finially retiring the tweets?

Dang gud artikle. U musta gone to kolege, 'cause I dont 'stand most of dem woids.

Let's hope this small-mid-medium bike craze continues. It's amazing what you can do with 20+ horsepower.

Like a few weekends ago, I rode the mighty DT1 to the vintage two stroke meet at Hansen Dam. It's got the GYT Kit top end, and puts out about 25 hp.

Anyway, when I left some guy on an RD tried to race me down Foothill Blvd. and I kicked his arse. 85 mph in a few scant seconds.

When r u gonna write up the 425 lb. Hyosung 125 v-twin? It's been called "mass in motion" by other testers.

The FAA still has some say in these things.

Not really. FAA qualified IPs conduct the instruction and screening (testing)... but that's it. Just cause you pass the 11 hours doesn't give you a FFA PPL. It just means that you pass to the next phase
