Looks like a mini-bike. A really fast mini-bike, but a mini-bike nonetheless. Has the "tiny bike" look jumped the shark yet?

You can partly blame my 6'4" frame for the relative mini-bike look....

That explains it! Need to put that little Johnny B guy on it for the proper scale....

There must be a whole story behind the whole thing, and I'm sure we're going to be able to read about it someday when Erik (sp?) decides to write a book about it all.

I was hangin out after my demo ride (Tuono wowee) at the new Moto Italiano dealer here in San Jose, when someone on that new 05 S3 pulled up and parked--everybody just stood, stared, and listened to that bike. It was as if for a minute, it was stealing Aprilia's thunder, hosting the rides.

I'm a day late and a dollar short here, but my two cents: I love Speed Triples and always have, but I will absolutely not buy a motorcycle upon which I cannot carry a pillion in reasonable comfort. My willingness to purchase a motorcycle is directly proportional to the lady's approval of her perch; ergo, ixnay on the eedspay ipletray, at least in its current iteration. Dear Triumph: Bring back a real saddle and you'll make a sale.

Bought a black one 3 months , 1500 mi ago for backroads thrills . I am happy with performance , reliability ( despite recent minor recall) , ergos, and looks. Considered FZ1, Z1000, SV 1000, Monster, and Z-Rex. All great bikes but the S3 has the look I loved. Handles great on deserted twisties in rural areas , good around town, tough on the highway. No passengers possible. Got a couple of little wobbles out front so I am upping fork spring preload. Anybody else??

I am wondering what this motor does in the new Sprint. I cannot find a single ride-review of the new for 05 sprint. It looks awesome, and if it gets the same power spectrum as the S3 I am sure it kicks @$$. MO, perhaps it is time for a review?
