![]() I would ride to work, if I had a job. So I'll ride to the beach. Is that OK?

![]() If I sold all these damn motorcycles I have and quit buying them, I wouldn't need a job.

![]() Alright, Los Angelinos, I want to read and hear about tons of motorcycles filtering on the 405 tomorrow. And also the 10 and the 60 for all you MOrons in the 909. And the 5 and 101, and all the other freeways, too!

![]() Dedicated is not overstating it. We're much cooler here in Sacto, CA with temperatures at 105F. I've stopped riding my liquid cooled sport bike, because the traffic bogs down in the one spot it hits 110F + and I can't take the heat in my full face helmet, let alone the bike's heat blast from the cooling fan. I ride my Harley instead. It actually runs better in the heat for some reason, except when the ignition pick-up quits halfway home (a somewhat regular occurance). But, I wear my open-face helmet - much cooler. I also soak my mesh jacket in water before leaving. The water lasts about 4 fours miles.
I'm a wimp in my advancing age. I used to run my old Triumph up and down the valley in the summer pretty regularly when the speed limit was 55. |

![]() Here in the crowded New York City area I'd love to see the safety statistics for 'Ride to work day'.
Even if you make it past the cagers there's still the parking lot thieves and sun and rain to worry about. Ride past your workplace and enjoy the countryside! |
