That's at least two of us hoping for an R1200R. Think that's enough to persuade the factory?

Ive never seen the front of my bike while riding it. As long as it has a sexy taillight thats all that matters right? Since that is all you'd be showing anyone anyhow, correct?

Steve, when all of the important motorcyclists in the USA demand an R1200R, and we already have, the factory will have to build them. LOL VWW

By the way... Longride... I got to tryout that stoplight/rollon test we talked about a while back...

My CBR 1000F ate the VTX1800 for lunch in every concievable situation.

From dead stop it was even depending on who got the better jump. But after a few feet the CBR consistantly ran off and left the VTX, even over just 100 yards or so.

30, 40, 60, and 80mph roll-ons were a joke too. The CBR consistantly ran off and left the VTX every time.

This was a good test too... becuase the fella on the VTX actually weighs less than me, and he's a better rider.

I had 140 miles of rain on sunday to wash all of them off and yes I did suffer my first aerostich crotch, but it was a sweet ride home from the redwoods.

Well I just went through a long downslect on a new sport touring ride. The BMW RT was on the short list along with the FJR, ZZR and Triumph ST. It took some doing but I got to ride all of the aforementioned. I even rode a Road King. At 50 comfort seemed a big deal, then a laughing sales manager let me ride a Hayabusa.

After a short internal debate, I bought that Busa. Can you tour on a hot rod? Is 50 too old to get it up? Is sense more important than sensibility?

Don't feel bad. I am 54 and ride a Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird. I was thinking about trying out the new BMW R1200RT - primarily because of the cruise control and the more upright riding position. Do you think I would miss the heart-pausing acceleration?
