There ya go wanting to improve a cruiser. Why don't ya know a cruiser is supposed to have a sloppy 2 piston, air cooled motor, dumbed down brakes, suspension, and imitate a paint shaker? And you should pay lots extra for little performance upgrades to make it louder and shake more. Why if you add liquid cooling, precision manufacturing, shaft drive, and do it at a resonable price it's not a real cruiser, or a real bike for that matter. You can thank a certain mfg. that starts with H and it ain't Honda for all that dumb thinking.

Maybe one day John Q. Poser pulic will get a brain.

"I don't understand why a manufacturer would purposely reduce a product's performance and capability..."

Safety/Liability, I think. The "stylish" geometry of the cool cruiser alllied with downscale suspension and braking hardware would be overwhelmed by the untamed engine.

As a fellow SV1000 rider, I have to agree. Look what a decent motor that is living in the V-Rod.

AFA the M50 and the rest of the Zook Boulevards (expect the Ss) I think they are way above the competiton in terms of value. FI, liquid cooling, dual front discs, shaft-drive, cool sound? These are the things that laymen love to read about and the rest of the manufacturers are out to lunch IMO. At $6700 that is a good deal relatively speaking.

BAD review!

"The number is engine size in cubic inches, as the Japanese have been labeling them for decades." Gee...and I was thinking that Japan uses the METRIC system!

M-50 is an 805 cc engine NOT a 819 cc. How you can do a "review" when you can't even get the correct size of the engine?

FYI the engine in M50= the engine in C50= the engine in Volusia (minus the carbs plus the fuel injection).

M50 had EXACTLY the same engine like the C50 (well it is painted in black), same shaft as C50.

Wake-up ! In the real world you can't get a HD for that amount. More for 8-9 grand. And Volusia/C50/M50 is a far better bike. Period.
