I have to agree, the next 5-10 years are going to be interesting years for the HD faithful. I have to believe that the air-cooled, V-twin days are numbered. I have a '99 Twin Cam, and it is fun in a way that no other motorcycle I have owned in the last 35 years could match. I could get real worked up over a V-Rod engined Sport Tourer. Nice powerplant, needs a good job.

Actually, I've noticed the Harley faithful, just like any other religion, cover a fairly broad spectrum. When ever I make fun of Harley guys, I'm generally talking about the rabid fundamentalist. And, when it comes to fundamentalists of any kind, anything short of standing them up in front of a wall and mowing them down, is fine with me.

As for the Nuvo- Doctor / Lawyer / Upper-Middle-Class: God won't the guys at the Club be shocked at my rebelesque behavior - Riche, Crowd...My, only hope is that those guys come upon a gang of Hells Angels, and get gang-raped!

"Deuce-and-a-quarter," you talkin' Buick Electra 225? Whoa! Mega-Sled! Today, you could build two Hondas, an Austin Mini, and have enough left-over for a Goldwing and a couple of lawn-mowers, out'a one of those things.

The Toronado: That was ONLY the world"s-first front-wheel-drive Viking Ship!

I'm sorta partial to the Riv: 67-68, being the coolist!

69-70, "suicide-door" ThunderBirds (429) were very WAY-Cool, too.

Harley already makes a great touring bike. My E-Glide Classic is as good a touring bike as any I have owned, including a Wing. It's also cheaper than a GoldWing. Imagine that.
