There's much to be said for not sharing needles- drugs or carburetors.

My dad had a Lilac, but it was older than that. I think the last time he had it licensed was in '68, and it was a few years old at the time. Get this: he used to haul me around on it... and I was born in '67. I guess the concept of safety has advanced a bit since then.

I'm seeing that guys are looking for brute power, all-day comfort, cream-your-shorts style, and bulletproof reliability. Sounds like a Suzuki GS1150ES to me. I have yet to own one, but someday I will. Right after I find that mint '81 Katana 1000.

In the mean time, a '93 pearl white VFR with a Two Bros left-exit pipe is my ride of choice. It looks almost as good as it sounds.

That would be cool, but I would like lower foot pegs for more legroom too. I've got a '99 ZX6-R and I love the ergos. I just wish I had a little more motor.

Yeah, I would agree to that, or something like it, if I was 18 to 21 again... under 150lb ....... and only needed to ride 1 up..... and didnt worry how long it lasted...

whatever happened to the Bridgestone 350 ?(2 stroke twin, 6 speed adjustable disk valves)

I nearly bought one 30 some odd years back

Default Gives SHOOT-OUT a whole new meaning

After reading this thread I think that MO should sponsor a ridin' / shootin' / eatin ' contest, sort of a redneck triathlon.

Hey GreyOne --

I've done several trips with a friend that rides an '02 VFR and understand the allure. When you speak of "the sound", however, I have a real thing for my Triumph Sprint RS (the Staintune can really helps liberate it)...

What really brought a smile to my face was your comment about the H1. I used to ride a '75 H1 as a poor college student -- and miss the hell out of it! Those were some days, and some hellacious fun rides...

Thanks for the reminder!

Babs the elder? Now that is just disturbing.

It must have been the heavy rotation of the Backstreet Boys MTV videos that emptied the minds of the younger generation. Add in videobites of sexually charged ads and political statements and we get what we have here: Nursing home fantasies of Babs the elder....

I knew I probably spelled it wrong, but I still like the idea a one-size-kills-all small artillary piece. I don't like a hand guns (know I'd probably use it). But there's been a Krag in the family for the best-part of a century, and it's killed more deer than I'd care to count. "Kicks like a mule...Kills like cancer...If you want it dead, the Krag's your answer." IMO.
