What exactly do you mean by "HOT" days. You got something to say?

Sounds good. I can just borrow my brothers' guns in Torrance.

You know as well as I do that you need guns in LA more than in Utah or Idaho.

The only time I'm scared down there is when I am by myself. As long as I'm with Sean, Ebass, Fonzie, Longride, Buzz, et. al., I'm the last guy who is gonna get shot at in a drive by.

Cool. Don't feel 2 bad if you can't afford roadracing. I'm thinking a few TTR125s with a mixture of 10-year olds on KX65s, etc, on a mini-MX track is about as much fun as you can have on a motorcycle, personally, but then i am old now, so... at Elsinore MX, there is a new mini SX track that turns onto and does most of a lap of the dirt oval there, then feeds back onto SX track again.

Great article! Something to raise my spirits as it drops to -30°C with the windchill and the snow is coming down in Saskatchewan, Canada.

I am seriously thinking about picking up a YSR 50 to race on the local kart track in the spring. Anyone have any experience with something like this?

The R1150R performed quite well on the track.

Get out there, Pops!

After seeing the schedule for the races at Daytona this year I sent the following to two of the contact addresses at the AMA, both were returned apparently unopened. I may try to make it Thursday which looks like a far better program but most of my "Daytona buds" are going to be there Saturday and it may be difficult to boycott the race.

Dear Sir, To say that I am bitterly disappointed in your running of the Daytona bike races this year would be an understatement. I have been to 15 "200's" starting in 1975, I make it every year possible. The idea of taking the least competitive class last year (by far) and making it "the 200" is BRILLIENT! I am a fan of Miguel Duhamel and have no problem with Honda winning a fair race if you would question my motivations. I'm giving 2-1 odds that Honda wins "the 200", you can have all other makes... wonder why nobody has taken me up on that yet? By the way Honda was the ONLY factory that competed in this class last year and won ALL races. Two races, on Saturday? I could go on but I may well not show, for you guys to lose a fan like me... should speak volumes. I really wish you well but with some of your moves lately that may not be nearly enough.

Sincerely, Dale Owen Alexander

PS You guys better get your act together by Laguna Seca or there will be A LOT of room for a TOP US Road Racing series IMHO. I will be at Laguna.

Gots to give you credit for trying, I gave up on the AMA listening to members years ago.
